PROTECHT
SPORTS INJURY APPLICATION

Protecht Logo.png

PROTECHT is an innovative solution developed by SWA. ( Sports & Wellbeing Analytics).

Utilising a highly sophisticated chip fitted in custom formed mouthguards for each player in the rugby team, it is possible for coaches, managers, medics, physios and strength & conditioning staff to receive precise, objective surveillance data in real-time.

The Protecht mouthguard chip sends impact data back to the pitch side device and application we see here. The data is updated live as it happens. This enables coaches to monitor the health and wellbeing of each player during a season by building up a picture of data over time.

The application also provides other functions such as data analysis and organising team structure for training and live matches. Developed with Swansea University in conjunction with the OSPREYS rugby team.

BURBERRY concept application

Logo_white.png

Concept for an instore “client telling” product to help and assist store staff in managing their individual clients needs and also keeping the clients up to date with the latest products available in store. IT also functioned as a stock ordering and asset management tool. This concpet eventually developed in to the KIT (Keytree Intstore Technology) white label product. Burberry being one of the first clients to use this. This example was very much brand bespoke - where as the final solution was more standardised utilising brand logo and brand colours only on a design system UI toolkit.

MINDHARP ANIMATIONS

A series of simple animations for use on Social media to raise awareness of

Mindharp. A Web app that enables anyone to actively engage and play with music and sound by simply tapping buttons in any order. It is an immersive experience designed to relive stress and anxiety. The animations were slightly quirky in the style of Monty Python using familiar figures from history and employing a little bit of humour aswell. I also helped with the design direction and cohesive styling of the website.

NHS SERVICE DESIGN - Covid Digital Helper

More a UX DESIGN related project rather than visually creative - using the excellent NHS design system to map out multiple complex journeys that would answer the many variable questions and queries around the Covid epidemic. This whole section of the NHS website was set up in response for an urgent need to help the public gain vital information about all aspects COVID and what resources were available on the NHS. A total of over 21 different journeys containing a minimum of 20 screens each!

WIREFRAMING / DASHBOARDS / ICONS & CONCEPT STUFF

USER JOURNEYS / ICONS

Visual user journeys are part of the whole User research finding process to help clients understand in a more pictorial manner the concept of how a new user process can be improved with the right technology and how it impacts day to day running of a business. Example here was for Battersea Dogs Home showing how a new piece of software could help manage the team organise, manage and communicate in more seamless way keeping track of day to day tasks.

The icon sets are examples from the Jaguar Land Rover project where we needed to create a whole suite of iconography to support the detailed information within the Global Retailer Portal. The other examples are SAP specific icons from a large suite I created to support the Sap work we did at Keytree. Used in PPts, Print work and Digital applications.

DASHBOARDS / CONCEPTS

I have done plenty of these - the one stop shop for managing a service / organising tasks / creating reminders / setting up up scheme of work, chat groups within an organisation and generally the day to day running of a business model.

HI FIDELITY WIREFRAMES

Lo fi or Hi fi - I can produce wireframes at many different levels depending on the project requirements. These examples here are decent quality and quite detailed due to the nature of the interactions. I think it is always better to get the detail right in the UX phase as it helps with the research and reaching a final solution quickly.

PPL was complex banking system of placing data and categorising stocks! This required a lot of thinking to decipher what it was supposed to do. Tuffnells delivery service - a lot simpler by comparison - but I have shown the visual interpretations here along side the wireframes.
